Hi dolls!!!!!
Well, needless to say, a LOT has happened since I last posted on March 26th....one of those major things being we got MARRIED!!!!! 😍 I said "I Do" to the love of my life on April 22nd...seriously the best day of my life so far!
Our photographer, Tim Ivey, of Imago Photography was AMAZING to work with. I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures & about died when I saw the sneak peek he sent above. Even in this one picture I can already tell that he has captured our love so well in pictures!
A lot of people say that your wedding day will fly by, and maybe it is because of people telling me that and me not wanting it to pass too quickly, but I tried to really savor and take in each moment as they passed. I spent from around 9 am to 2 pm getting ready with my bridesmaids and the amazing ladies of Bangs and Blush & Options Salon, and it was truly a wonderful time just getting pampered by these lovely ladies with my besties and sweet Mommy! The best part of all came at around 2:30 when my groom and I had our first look. For us, the first look was a moment for us to have to ourselves before the ceremony, and just take in the magic of the day!!! I am most excited to see our first look pictures.
We tied the knot at the beautiful Howe Farms in Georgetown, TN. There is a GORGEOUS "Ceremony Hill" outside, which is what made my hubby (eeekkkk that will NEVER get old calling him my husband!) and I originally fall in love with the venue. The plan was to have the ceremony outside and the reception inside the barn at the venue. I have to admit that as soon as the 14 day forecast was released on the Weather Channel app, I was obsessively checking the weather non-stop. Needless to say, if you want less stress with wedding planning, try to plan an indoor wedding. HAHA! We did have an excellent plan B set up which I will cover in another post in the future. However, through COUNTLESS prayer warriors, God was merciful on our wedding day and allowed us to have a gorgeous outdoor ceremony like we had both dreamed about. One of our friends attending the wedding told us that it was sprinkling right before the ceremony started, but as soon as the string quartet started playing for the ceremony, it stopped sprinkling. There was no rain at all throughout the ceremony, but just beautiful clouds. Then, as soon as the last of the wedding party walked out after the ceremony, the skies opened up & it rained and rained!!! It was such a blessing we were able to have the ceremony outside like our hearts desired, but we also received the "blessing" of rain on our wedding day!! And.....we got all of our pictures made before the ceremony, outside, when the weather was gorgeous. God was definitely smiling on us for our special day!!! It's crazy to think back to the week before the wedding & how I was stressing over little things....when the day of the wedding, NONE of that mattered because THE most important thing was that I was marrying the love of my life!!!!!! Literally still on Cloud 9....
I can't wait to share with y'all more details on our wedding as I receive more of the professional pictures from our photographer. However, for now, I wanted to share some candid pictures from the day and evening with y'all!!! If nothing more than for just my memory, but I still hope you enjoy these candid/iPhone snapshots of our day!!!! 😀
This black & white dance floor helped shape the vision for our day!!! It all started with this dance floor and everything else we decorated around it. Our wedding colors were pink, gold, and black & white striped accents!
I have THE best friends a girl could ask for!!! I was OBSESSED with their bridesmaids gowns, and I wanted each girl to pick out the sequin gown of her choice! I love the way they all turned out together!

Our cake was exactly what I had envisioned for our day! I had about 5-6 different Pinterest pictures of cake inspiration, and with the help of my amazing cake lady at Kimmee's Cakes, we created this original design, layer by layer. My wedding planner had the idea of the cake being at the center of the dance floor with a spotlight. I loved the way it turned out!!! While the cake was modern, I wanted a vintage/traditional bride & groom cake topper, which I found the perfect one on Etsy.

Gorg bridesmaid and one of my besties! (with our custom designed Snapchat filter from Miss Design Berry on Etsy here! She was a dream to work with. We actually had a Portrait Wedding Guest Book made for all of our guests to sign. I sent the graphic designer pictures of us before our wedding day and pictures of me in my dress, and she created this awesome artwork for us! I highly recommend working with her for a unique guestbook alternative, and for Snapchat filters!)
