Happy 2017 dolls!
I am extra excited for this new year because it is our wedding year! It can't get here soon enough (even though we do have a few things left to do!). How was y'alls NYE!? We spent our evening with friends, eating yummy food & playing games. It was our idea of the perfect low-key but super fun evening!
So the look I'm sharing with you today is one I wore when my fiancé and I went to take care of some things on our wedding to-do list (like pick out his tux. My friends all joked he needed to make a picture with the "I said yes" sign like I did when I picked out my dress. "I said yes to the tux!" should totally be a thing, right?! haha!). Anyway, this outfit of the day features leopard on leopard print (double the leopard = double the fun, am I right?). I have always loved the way leopard print looks with all black (remember my Holiday Party look here? A dressier version of black + leopard print). It adds some excitement to an otherwise monochromatic outfit.
The beanie I'm wearing is THE famous BP leopard print one that you've probably seen already. I have found myself wearing it with multiple outfits this past season! I highly recommend buying one (and at only $15 you can't beat the price). It comes as no surprise that the ease of styling leopard is because it has 2 of the neutrals in it, black & tan. Soooo that's why you'll hear people (like myself) say that leopard print IS a neutral! It's so totally true. The scarf I decided to pair the leopard beanie with is from Charlotte Russe and was only $5. I just randomly picked it up one night when my fiance and I were out shopping because...hellooooo...I'm pretty sure there's a rule that anything that's $5 and cute, you have to buy! I thought it was a fun look to pair the scarf with my leopard beanie since the patterns didn't match exactly, but the colors complemented each other. I also like the way the larger leopard print pattern of the scarf looks with the smaller leopard print pattern of the beanie.
The BP sweater I'm wearing has been on repeat as well this fall & winter seasons. It's long enough to be worn with tights, which is an added bonus! I have it in this shade and also hunter green. It's a definite wardrobe staple, and the perfect layering piece with puffy vests, like I'm wearing in my #ootd above. I am pretty much obsessed with layering!
Thank y'all so much for reading! Have a fabulous Monday, dolls!
