"There's Somethin Bout a Girl in a Red Sundress..."

Happy Friday!!!
Seriously, T to the G to the I to the F!!! I can't tell y'all how excited I am for this weekend. I leave bright & early in the AM to go to the beach for a weekend getaway with my besties (my b-day is Monday! woohoo!). Sunday night we are going to a FREE Kip Moore concert and if you caught on by the title of this post, I needed a red sundress to wear to the show (those are lyrics from one of Kip's most famous songs "Somethin Bout a Truck" if y'all aren't familiar :)). So I found the one below at Kohl's on MAJOR clearance (originally $50 marked down to $14!!!)....but, I 'm not sure if I'm crazy about it?! I am thinking of maybe trying to find another one before the show....lol. Y'all let me know in the comments below: should I keep or find something else!??! :) And without further adieu, here's my "red sundress" (with cowgirl boots of course!)....

A Romper Syled for Fall!

Happy Wednesday!
Hope y'all are having a wonderful week so far!! The temps here in TN are sooo hot but I am definitely already dreaming about fall & wearing booties, jeans, & fall hats like nobody's business! :) And even though it's hot here, it's not stopping me from already trying to transition some of my summer staples into the fall. Enter: one of my favorite rompers I wore a lot this summer (see how I styled it this summer HERE). I thought I could "fall-orize" (yeah just made that word up) it by adding a chambray shirt. I have a deep love for the chambray shirt. If you don't have one in your wardrobe, I highly recommend getting one for this fall season! It is seriously SO versatile. You can even wear it over a romper and belt it as I did below (and add a pair of booties to "fall-orize" it even more)! :) Hope you enjoy my OOTD! Thanks for reading!!!

Royal Blue, Stripes & Polka Dots Too!

Happy Tuesday!
So, it's a cheesy title I know :) But don't you just love when you can make up a rhyme about your outfit!? haha! So as you guessed by my amazing rhyming skills, today I bring to you a little pattern play, mixing stripes and polka dots. I always love mixing patterns & in my opinion it's totally appropriate when the colors work well together.
The striped cross-body bag I'm wearing below is a new purchase I made at the beach from Forever 21. I was looking for a medium sized cross body bag for the Kenny Chesney concert to carry around all day and when I saw this bag I knew it would be PERFECT! It's roomy enough to hold more than the essentials (I mean I even was able to fit my mini makeup brushes in it!) but also small enough where it's not super bulky to carry around all day. Unfortunately I couldn't find it online :( but definitely check your local store! I paired this bag with my classic polka dot shorts from Old Navy that I've loved wearing this summer (unfortunately these are no longer available online). Then I topped it off with a pop of royal blue with this cute top from TJ Maxx! Here's how my OOTD turned out....

So y'all, I have a confession. Bought this hat at Wal-Mart in PCB on the first night of vacation & wore it every. single. day. It was so comfortable and kept the sun off my face! Not to mention CUTE. Who knew Wal-Mart had cute hats!? Couldn't find this exact one online but similar HERE (major sale!)

Y'all I'm obsessed with palm trees. And the beach. Can I just move here???
This was the day we went to pick up our Kenny Chesney wristbands a couple of days before the show! In case you haven't heard, Kenny had a FREE concert called the "Flora-Bama-Jama" down at the Flora Bama on the Alabama/Florida state line! I was able to snag us wristbands online a month before the show, and we went a couple of days early to pick them up!
Also, if you didn't know or pick up on it, I am seriously IN LOVE with Mr. Chesney. He is my favorite and has been literally my whole life. This is the 8th time I've seen him!
I'm wearing a Forever 21 dress here that is actually the perfect cover up :)

Then, the day of the concert finally arrived!!! Here we were already making friends on the bus ride to the show. The sweet lady pictured with us was from Virginia! You meet Kenny fans from all over....and we all have one very important thing in common: we are Kenny crazy!! :)
Oh and since the concert was on the beach, we all wore our most beachin' outfits. I figured a crop top would be cool for the show!

We arrived to the show before the gates opened at 10 AM. The concert didn't start until 4:00 so we waited all day in the sun and heat. But it was SOOO worth it for the SUPER close seats we snagged....
Here I am with our AMAZING seats. That is indeed the stage, and that is indeed me standing just a mere feet away from the stage (and later, from Kenny!!). It was SO amazing (and more than worth the wait)!!!
Here we are waiting in line before the concert!! Nothing like seeing Kenny on the beach. I wanna go back!!!! Haley & I are already making plans to go again next year :) Since this was his "first annual" Flora-Bama-Jama, we suspect there will be more to come!
This shows how close we were to Kenny :) I took this picture during the show. Out of the 8 times I have seen Kenny, this was certainly my favorite!!!! BEST. DAY. EVER!
I hope y'all enjoyed some snapshots from my trip! :) We had an amazing time. I can't wait to go back!!! I seriously have an obsession with the beach. My birthday is a week from today, and my girlfriends & I are going to Orange Beach next weekend to see Kip Moore in concert!!! :) Told y'all I was beach-crazy :)

TGIF dolls!
So happy it's Friday! :) Today I wanted to show y'all a "look for less" featuring some of my new favorite jewelry from Purple Peridot! As a 20-something single working girl & nursing student, I have to admit that I don't have some insane budget for clothes, jewelry, etc. I do love investing in some nicer classic pieces (a good pair of riding boots, a great leather handbag, the perfect pair of jeans, etc)...however, I like to change my clothes too often to invest huge amounts of money in my clothes/accessories (which is why you see a lot of TJ Maxx & Forever 21 outfits on here!). So when I started seeing the gorgeous Kendra Scott Rayne necklace pop up on my Instagram news feed, I knew I wanted one! However I thought I would wait to invest the $80 and see if I could find something a little bit cheaper. Of course I had to look no further than Purple Peridot! They make an ADORABLE version and it is only $16 right now! They also have the cutest colors (I'm eying the hot pink one next). Be sure to check it out HERE. I love this necklace because it is versatile and can be layered with other necklaces. When I ordered the tassel necklace from Purple Peridot, I couldn't help but add THIS adorable bracelet to my shopping cart! It's the perfect addition to an arm party, and at $12.99 you can't beat the price. It's really similar to Stella & Dot's Amelie Sparkle Bracelet HERE that sells for $39. I'm sure y'all will be seeing a lot of this necklace/bracelet combination on the blog! Here's how I styled it for my OOTD.....
