My Faves at the Oscars!
Hi dolls!
As you know, this past weekend was the 85th Academy Awards which is always one of my favorite days because it means beautiful Red Carpet celebrity fashion!!! I'm the kind of girl who thinks that Oscar Sunday is way more exciting than Super Bowl Sunday and I love seeing what all the stars are wearing. So tonight I wanted to do a list of my Red Carpet faves!!!
I absolutely LOVED Jennifer Lawrence's dramatic Dior Haute Couture gown. It showed off her awesome figure while at the same time being ultra-glamorous. I also LOVED the soft pale pink color of the dress. This dress was made for the Red Carpet!
Another favorite was Amy Adams in one of my FAVORITE gown designers Oscar de la Renta. It 's always no surprise to me when I see a gown on the Red Carpet, then hear that it's by one of my favorite dress designers (Oscar de la Renta, Monique Lhuillier or Marchesa). I LOVED the sweetheart neckline and the dramatic skirt of the dress. Gorgeous!!! I just wish I had a chance to wear one of these beautiful gowns :) (PS I realize this has been on some people's worst dressed list, and I'm not crazy about the color. But I've always loved "froo-froo" gowns! haha).
Another dress I loved that was completely different than the two ball gowns above was Halle Berry's sassy Versace number! It was designed with a James Bond girl look in mind. This shoulders on the dress reminded me of a style from the 80's and I totally loved it!!!
Another one of my favorite looks of the evening did not come from the Oscars Red Carpet but was from the Vanity Fair Oscars Party!!! I LOVED Kate Beckinsale's entire look....from her adorable pony tail all the way down to her pretty strappy heels! Oh and not to mention her dress is by one of my favorites as I mentioned early, Monique Lhuillier. She looks stunning!!!
Also, if there was an award for the best hair, my choice would DEFINITELY be Reese Witherspoon. I just absolutely LOVED her retro curls!!!! She's SO gorgeous!!! (Side note: I was a little disappointed with her dress though).
Now, for worst dressed. While Amanda Seyfried usually looks so lovely and elegant, I just was not a fan of her Alexander McQueen gown at all! It was just a bit too plain and nothing super special in my opinion. She's still a gorgeous girl though :).
So fabulous readers, what were your picks for best and worst dressed?! Leave me a comment and let me know! :) Thanks so much for reading!!!

Charlize looked gorgeous as always! Loved her makeup :)
DeleteI actually really liked Amanda Seyfried's dress. Thought it did get back reviews on Fashion Police too. My favorite by far was Jessica Chastain. She looked STUNNING! And definitely my runner up was Jennifer Lawrence. I couldn't decide if it was actually white and the carpet was reflection off it to make it look pink or if it was actually are really soft pink. Either way it looked amazing! My worst dressed was hands down Kristin Stewart. She looked like a trainwreck, crutches or not.
ReplyDeleteYes I completely agree that Kristin Stewart wasn't looking her best. I was not crazy about her dress at all!!! Jessica Chastain did look really pretty too....the color of her dress really complemented her skin! She looked so pretty! Thanks for commenting and reading doll :)
