OOTN: Miranda Lambert Concert + OOTD: Concert Tee!!!
January 25, 2013
The weekend has arrived....woohoo!! If you follow me on Twitter and/or Instagram and/or Facebook you may have noticed that I went to a Miranda Lambert concert last weekend. It was definitely a blast (of course it was---I am OBSESSED w/ country music!!). I had just as much fun trying to decide what to wear. I LOVE Miranda's style: it's a little rock n roll (I'm talkin leather and studs), but definitely always has a touch of country (jeans, cowgirl boots, etc). With my OOTN, I was trying to channel Miranda in the album artwork for her single "Baggage Claim".....

So besides getting ready for the concert and the actual concert itself, something else I have always loved about concerts is....you might NEVER guess this haha....SHOPPING!! I just LOVE browsing the selection of concert t-shirts and picking one out so I always have that souvenir to remind me of what a fun time I had. What's better than fashion that makes you reminiscence on good times!? So much fun! I really loved the concert t-shirt I picked up at the Miranda concert.....it has a line from one of my fave Miranda songs "This Ain't Your Mama's Broken Heart." It's been so chilly this week so I was happy to wear my concert t-shirt layered with a sweater, red pants and riding boots! Here's how my look turned out.....

OOTD: Casual Plaid + Frye Riding Boots
January 22, 2013
Hello lovely readers!!!
Soooo here in Tennessee it was raining like CRAZY for a week straight but finally the clouds parted and the sun started shining. It was so nice to take a break from the leopard print rain boots and get to wear my Frye Melissa Button riding boots I got for Christmas!
I had wanted a pair of Frye boots for a while and decided on the Melissa Button Boot in dark brown (check them out HERE). I figured with the dark brown I could wear them with either brown or black. I absolutely love them the more I wear them. I'm definitely breaking them in and they are just SO comfy!!! So here was one of my recent comfy, casual weekend OOTD featuring my Frye boots with a cozy plaid flannel shirt. Nothing says casual weekend like a plaid shirt!! :)

Golden Globe Fashion!
January 14, 2013
Hi dolls!!!
I hope you're having a great start to your week! As it's the beginning of a new year, it's also the start of awards season which means one thing: fabulous fashions on the red carpet!!! Since tonight was the first big award show of 2013, I wanted to do a post on a few of my favorite looks from the Golden Globes last night.
First of all, my hands-down favorite was Zooey Deschanel wearing a gorgeous red gown by one of my favorite dress designers Oscar de la Renta. Her dark hair really popped against the red shade of the gown. I loved the sweetheart neckline and her strand of pearls. Just so very classy and beautiful! Oh and not to mention her ADORABLE manicure....
One of my other favorite looks was worn by one of my faves Julianne Hough. I love the way a white and gold dress looks on a blonde. She was stunning! She wore a gown by Monique Lhullier....again, one of my fave dress designers! It's always amazing to me how I pick out my favorite looks, then when I research who designed the gown it's usually always by one of my favorites :)
Hands down worst dressed in my opinion was Lucy Liu in a flowered number by Carolina Herrera. I'm not opposed to flower print, but this dress was just TOO much. Too much flower, too much blue, too much DRESS. This to me was not only the worst dressed of last night, but I'm pretty certain it may be worst dressed of the whole upcoming award season. Sorry Lucy, I still love you as a Charlie's Angel!!
What were your favorites and least favorites from the Golden Globes last night? Be sure to leave me a comment and let me know!
Thanks so much for reading!
XOXO

First OOTN Post of 2013: Fur, Leather & Bows!
January 8, 2013
Happy 2013 dolls!!!
....a week late, I know! I hope everyone has had a FABULOUS (and very fashionable, of course) start to 2013! I've been super busy getting ready to start school hence the lack of posts but I'm really excited to share an OOTN from this weekend with y'all tonight!!!
So when I was in Target this past weekend I was SO excited to see that all the Neiman Marcus for Target collection was a whopping SEVENTY percent off (the Neiman Marcus for Target collection warrants its own post....what was Target thinking with those incredibly high for Target prices?!) Anyway I fell in love with this black fur vest by Skaist-Taylor (you can call me Lady Gaga I guess, as overheard by the girls walking by who saw the vest and said "that's SO Lady Gaga" haha!). Regardless, I just LOVE me some {faux} fur!!! I indeed took a bit of a walk on the wild side with this outfit and decided to pair it with leather pants and studded ankle boots....not to mention a bow in my hair just to add a little bit of girly to my look.... :)
Thank you SO very much for reading dolls! I'm looking forward to 2013 and a new year for my blog!!! :)
P.S. Don't forget to check out my latest on the Marc Nelson Denim blog HERE :)
