Hi dolls!
So with this beautiful image of Kate Middleton in your memory, now let’s move on to my fashion fail of the week. I honestly do enjoy bright and bold prints in fashion, and I also enjoy artwork. But mixing the two in one dress??? Not so much! Camilla Belle wore the following Fall 2012 Carven Ready to Wear collection dress with a painting printed all over it to an event at the Tribecca Film Festival. In fashion you ALWAYS want to make sure YOU are wearing your outfit and your outfit isn’t wearing YOU! Unfortunately this is NOT the case with Camilla Belle. The dress is completely wearing her...a definite fashion no.
XOXO,
Ok so if you checked out this post originally you might have noticed that it was published …then it was BLANK/DISAPPEARED (that’s what I get for blogging on my phone!)…giving a whole new yet unintended meaning to the “less is more” title of this post!!! Haha! SO here it goes…my second Fashion Fab & Fail Friday:
My pick for Fashion Fab of the week goes to one of my favorite style icons of our generation and one of my obsessions in life, Catherine Middleton! She always looks so beautiful no matter what she wears. Elegant but simple definitely describes her look in this photo from the London premiere of African Cats. She wore a Matthew Williamson dress with turquoise details. I just LOVE the contrast of a bright stone like turquoise with pastels.

And also a close-up picture to show how beautiful and stunning her hair and makeup always looks in case you never noticed (wink wink)....

The only redeeming feature of this unfortunate ensemble are her Christian Louboutin red pumps. Can you ever go wrong with Louboutin???? I think not!!!!

So as you can see from comparing Kate’s and Camilla’s dresses, sometimes less is definitely more....a rule of thumb in fashion.
What do you think of my picks for fashion fab & fashion fail this week? Leave me a comment and let me know!
Have a great weekend my dears & thank you as always for reading!!!!
XOXO,
Ashley
