Good Sunday evening! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!
To start off my blog post, I wanted to show you my OOTN for going out with friends in Knoxville on Friday night. I don’t know about you, but when I pick out my outfit I sometimes start with one piece I know I DEFINITELY want to wear then plan my outfit around that one item. On Friday night my goal was to wear my grey ankle booties (mentioned in my post here: Fall Shoe Trend: Western Bootie). To pull the look off the best way possible, I decided I needed to wear something else grey so I went with a grey F21 sweater I have (in an OOTD here: Weekend Outfits) and layered it over a black bandage dress I have (which is one of my favorite tricks because it makes a skirt out of a dress!). I of course had to add my favorite belt to tie in the black. Here’s the finished outfit:

Sweater: F21
Dress: F21
Ankle Booties: OldNavy
Belt: NY & Company |
And a close-up of one of my favorite new pieces of jewelry: a blinged-out animal bracelet:

Owl Bracelet from Dillard's! |
Which brings me to my next topic of this blog post: ANIMAL BLING!!!! I went to Dillard’s last week and saw this display featuring super cute animal bling:
The key to wearing statement jewelry like these bangles and not crossing over into tacky land is to keep in mind one simple rule: let your bling take center stage. Since bracelets such as these are statement pieces, let them make a statement by not wearing other big and bulky pieces. For instance, I wouldn’t wear a big statement necklace with the bracelet. Instead, I usually skip wearing a necklace and just go with my bracelet and earrings!
My favorite bracelet is the owl one I bought, but I also tried on many others and wanted to show you how cute they are:

Most were made by the brand Natasha Accessories. Find some of the same bracelets on Dillard’s website here: Animal Bracelets (along with some other REALLY cute bangles)!
What do you think of animal bracelet bling?! Leave me a comment and let me know! Thank you so much for reading!
Xoxo,
